Tim was born in Phoenix, AZ, and grew up in various ministries in California and Indiana, where his father was a bus director and Christian school teacher. Through the influence of his godly father, he called on the Lord for salvation at the age of 5 or 6. When faced with the decision about what to study in college, he opted for electronic engineering, but during the second semester of his freshman year, the Lord used a powerful message by Dr. Bob Jones Jr. to redirect his steps into ministry. He went on to get a Ph.D. in Old Testament Interpretation from Bob Jones University, where he met his wife Laura. They have six children, one girl and five boys.
After Tim and Laura did short term mission work in Asia, they spent four years at Falls Baptist Church teaching at Baptist College of Ministry before returning to Asia as missionaries with Gospel Fellowship Association. They currently work with Bob Jones Memorial Bible College in the Philippines, where Tim is the Director of Graduate Studies and heads up the Continuing Education for Pastors program, an off-campus program for pastors in the provinces of the Philippines and other Asian countries. Tim is the author of From Eden to Patmos: An Overview of Biblical History and Planning Your Life God’s Way. Tim loves traveling to Israel and other Bible lands, and he also enjoys playing board games with his kids, or hiding from them by taking his wife on a date. Tim is burdened to see God do a mighty work in Asia in this generation.
