Born in Brainerd, MN and raised for a time in Indiana, Tim Anger spent 20 years of his early life in Hawaii, where his parents were missionaries ministering to the military on Oahu.  He heard the truth of the gospel all my life as he grew up in a Baptist preacher’s home, but his life-changing encounter with God didn’t occur until he was 30 years old and already in the ministry when God convicted him of his self-righteousness and he surrendered to Him.

God used his English professor at Maranatha to redirect his interest in accounting into becoming a math and science teacher.  Since graduating in 1984, he has been a Christian school teacher and administrator ever since, the past 30 years in Pennsylvania.  He and his wife have five children — three married and two girls at home.  Their oldest, Sarah, married Philip Rains whom she met at BCM and has given them 3 grandchildren so far.  While Sarah was a student at BCM, the Lord opened the door for Tim to begin teaching the Methods and Materials class for prospective teachers as an adjunct professor.  Now he enjoys teaching the class even more as it gives him an opportunity to see his grandkids!

In his free time he created and maintains a website to support small Christian schools and homeschools that choose to use the ACE curriculum (www.pacesuccess.net) and creates teaching videos that he hosts there.  He is passionate about helping new teachers be effective in their important calling and ministry of meeting the educational needs of students in their care.
