Maria was born in West Allis, WI.  As a four-year-old, Maria fell under conviction while listening to her dad rehearse a Gospel presentation, and she personally accepted the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ alone. Through Scripture and the testimony of other Christians, Maria realized that she had only one life to serve Christ.  During an elementary education course at Baptist College of Ministry, she recognized that God gave her the desire to teach and to use teaching as a ministry so that His name would be glorified.

Maria attended Falls Baptist Church from birth and has served in the preschool, elementary, and bus ministries since high school.  Throughout college, Maria assisted in the Bible quizzing program. She joined the Baptist College of Ministry faculty after graduating from BCM in 2018.

Currently, Maria is teaching English online to students in China, completing a Master TEFL/TESOL course, and pursuing her Teaching and Learning, MEd degree online.  When she is not teaching, Maria enjoys sports, coaching, reading, and finding good quotes.  God convinced Maria of the necessity to live for Christ alone so that America and the rest of the world would arise and know God (Galatians 2:20; Judges 2:10).  She is humbled by the opportunity to teach students who will go forth and “[turn] the world upside down” for the glory of God (Acts 17:6).
