Joe Mueller was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. He grew up attending Marquette Manor Baptist Church in Downers Grove, IL, where he heard the gospel preached on a regular basis. Through this regular exposure to the gospel, the Holy Spirit brought a deep conviction of the need for salvation, and he trusted Christ as a young boy. God called Joe to preach and to international work at a missions conference when he was 8 years old, and the Lord further clarified that calling with a vision for international evangelism.
Joe met his wife, Mary Jane, in college where they had opportunity to minister together. They were married in March of 2012 while Joe was in seminary and have been blessed with 5 children.
Joe began serving on staff at BCM as a Graduate Assistant while completing his MA and began teaching in 2016. During this time he has served at Falls Baptist Church as Bus Director, leading a team assisting in the start of a new church in Shawano, WI, and currently serving as the director of Elementary Sunday School. Much of his day-to-day time is spent on graphic design for the church and college, video production, and website development.
Joe is passionate about preaching, precise communication, spending time with family, good humor, and the Chicago Cubs. He also enjoys getting to know international people and understanding different cultures. In his “spare time,” he is an ambitious “do-it-yourself-er” and enjoys trying his hand at new skills.
Joe is grateful for the opportunity that BCM provides him to challenge the next generation of gospel laborers for the harvest fields of the world.
