Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, Jessica Hohl was saved as a young child under her father’s ministry. When she was in fourth grade, God directed her family to Falls Baptist Church where she also attended school. Early on, she knew that she wanted to be a teacher and saw God allow her dream to develop even as an elementary school child when she became a teacher’s aide in the kindergarten classroom. She continued in that role throughout junior high and high school — and even had the privilege of tutoring students in reading and teaching a class when the teacher’s voice gave out.
When she graduated from BCM in 2004, the Lord granted her desire to become the kindergarten teacher at Falls Baptist Academy where she has been teaching since. She loves the classroom—not only teaching, but learning as well. On the side, she pursues photography and crochet which gives her a chance to learn outside the academic setting. She officially joined the BCM faculty in 2016 which has allowed her to pass on her love of the classroom to others. She is burdened that her students not only learn how to teach the material, but also how to develop the next generation spiritually as well as academically— and enjoy doing it.
